Working Partners

Category 9 on the 1d10 Bond Category table.

You and your bonded partner are in a deliberate professional partnership: members of the same guild, company or order, co-owners of a business, or two people hired for the same job who chose to keep working together.

Under each Bond: its Suggested Talents.

1. The Big Score (Positive)

Together you pulled off a job people still talk about, whether a daring deal, a haul or a hard contract. Some of the details are yours alone to know.

2. Embezzlement (Negative)

One of you discovered the other had been quietly skimming money from the business. Trust is shattered and the venture is at risk.

3. Built From Nothing (Positive)

You started your venture with nothing but each other's word and a handshake. Every success since then is shared, and so is every debt.

4. Frame-Up (Negative)

One of you was framed for a crime. The other must choose between risking their own name to clear their partner's or keeping their distance.

5. Perfect Fit (Positive)

Your skills fit together like hand and glove: where one of you is weak, the other is strong. Clients hire you as a pair for good reason.

6. Newly Gained Enemies (Negative)

Something you did on a job made you new enemies, like a rival outfit or a local crime boss, who now threaten you constantly.

7. A Good Name (Positive)

Your partnership has a good name, earned the hard way. Doors open for the two of you that would stay shut to either of you alone.

8. Broken Trust (Negative)

One of you betrayed the other on a job, stealing something valuable or holding back vital information. Rebuilding trust is hard going.
