Under each Bond: its Suggested Talents.

1. Sparring Partners (Positive)

Day after day your teacher set you against each other, in the practice yard or the debate hall. You know each other's every move, and each of you is better for it.

2. Rivalry (Negative)

Even under the same mentor you competed fiercely for the teacher's favour, and the rivalry led to clashes and even sabotage.

3. Two Halves of the Art (Positive)

Your teacher deliberately taught each of you only half of a technique. Apart you are skilled; together the art is complete, and you only learned why on the day it saved you both.

4. Teacher's Disappearance (Negative)

Your mentor vanished without warning. With no guidance left, you've had to lean on each other while you search for them.

5. The Final Trial (Positive)

Your teacher's final trial was meant to be faced alone, and neither of you could have passed it that way. You did it together, and your teacher called that the real lesson.

6. Corrupt Mentor (Negative)

Your mentor turned out to be corrupt, using you both for their own ends. When it came out you had to decide whether to confront them or get away.

7. Study Mates (Positive)

You spent long nights together over books, drills and practice, helping each other through the hard parts. You still pick up where the other leaves off without needing to ask.

8. Mentor's Demise (Negative)

An enemy or rival killed your mentor. You share a goal of vengeance, and the grief and anger that come with it.
