1. Blood Oath (Positive)
When you were children you cut your palms and swore to always stand by each other. Years and miles have passed, and neither of you has ever broken that oath.
2. Betrayal of Trust (Negative)
One of you let slip a deeply personal secret about the other. Trust took years to mend, and the tension still lingers between you.
3. Secret Hideout (Positive)
You had a hideout no grown-up ever found, and a made-up language of signs and words to go with it. You still use both, and a glance between you says more than most people's speeches.
4. Unresolved Rivalry (Negative)
Friendly childhood contests turned into a bitter rivalry full of friction and jealousy. You still clash over decisions and over who leads.
5. Town Heroes (Positive)
When disaster came to your town (a flood, a fire, a raid) the two of you, still only children, raised the alarm and got people out. The old folk still tell the story, and you still work best side by side.
6. Family Feud (Negative)
Your families fell into a feud and you were made to choose between your friendship and your kin. The rift it opened was hard to close.
7. First Love (Positive)
You were each other's first love. It ended gently, without bitterness, and grew into a friendship that runs deeper than most. The old warmth is still there when you need it.
8. Different Paths (Negative)
As you grew up your lives split: one went off adventuring while the other stayed home. Distance and different experiences bred misunderstanding and resentment.
